Inlogistics

Soon after the private sector was granted permission to operate container trains on the Indian Railway network, Inlogistics became the country’s first Private Container Cargo Train, Rake Operator. Its first rake was flagged off from Memari to Kakinada in October 2006, and full-fledged services commenced in early 2007.

Seeing the potential of a large integrated logistics company which used the railways as a backbone and had access to four very well-located terminals, True North invested in Inlogistics in March 2009.

True North helped Inlogistics put together a powerful management team, and assisted in the creation of a three year strategic plan, while simultaneously helping streamline the MIS and related processes.

Today, Inlogistics operates fifteen container trains and a rail terminal at Kalamboli, near JNPT. The company undertakes end-to- end logistics solutions right from transportation to handling, loading and unloading of various types of commodities such as steel, marble, food grains, apparels and electronic goods etc. It has more than 1,380 containers and has made over 1,000 Cargo Trips covering 2.6 million kms and delivering over 2.0 million metric tonnes of cargo.
